Commissioning and Brokerage Procedures (Arranging Support, Services or Equipment)

This procedure should be used when arranging service or support for people with care and support needs or carers. This includes urgent or interim support.

Anyone arranging reablement should refer to the Arranging the Reablement Service (Arranging Support, Services or Equipment) Procedure.

Occupational Therapists should refer to the bespoke Occupational Therapy procedures for arranging equipment or an adaptation.

Although this procedure may be helpful to those people based within Commissioning or the Brokerage team, it does not provide specific guidance about arranging, monitoring or reviewing contracts, or any other associated actions that may be required. Anyone carrying out such actions should refer to available local processes.
